Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of experience or Master's with 5+ years of experience
  • Strong expertise in mechanical design of electronic devices or precision machinery products
  • Familiar with commonly used materials, machining, sheet metal, and die casting parts design and processes
  • Proficient in CAD software PTC Creo for 3D modeling and 2D drawing
  • Ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis
  • Familiar with industry design standards, vendors, and off-the-shelf selection
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent teamwork, self-starter, energizing, results-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Reliability (DFR)
  • Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
  • Experience with thermal design

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, service, cost, and manufacturability
  • Lead design visualization efforts and essential component and assembly details to explore multiple design options
  • Develop engineering design solutions capable of 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing
  • Conduct engineering tests with specified measurement tools
  • Develop designs with robust solutions of high quality, familiar with mechanical relevant standards
  • Deliver improvements to customer-focused metrics
