Requirements

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree with 5+ years of experience, or a Masters Degree with 5+ years of experience
Experience in mechanical product design, electronics packaging design, familiar with plastic, metal, injection molding parts design and manufacturing process
Expertise with CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, Ansys – Structural and Thermal analysis desirable)
Experience with full product cycle from concept to stable production
Experience in Verification and Validation testing of Hardware products
Experience with reliability testing and Design for Reliability tools
Exposure to Medical device industry
Demonstrated program/project planning capability
Demonstrated project leadership and influencing skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to mechanical design projects
Utilize 3D design software to create detailed models and drawings
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical engineering design and processes
Demonstrate technical expertise in the development of new products and product enhancements
Lead technical design reviews for concept solutions, detailed designs, and evaluation of results with cross-functional and/or global teams
Lead development activities at supplier end e.g., tooling and ensure successful outcomes
Perform design integration, verification, validation, FMEA, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability analysis/testing
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion
Understand key business drivers and adhere to GEHC standards, industry standards, Medical device safety, and regulatory requirements
