Responsibilities

  • Regulate and control the production process, including tools and equipment
  • Verify design specifications and workshop applications of new products, tools, or equipment
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policies/strategies
  • Apply knowledge of best practices and how one's field integrates with others; understand competition and market differentiators
  • Demonstrate judgment and ability to propose alternative solutions outside set parameters to handle more complex manufacturing processes with technical diversity and/or interdependencies
  • Use technical experience and analytical thinking
  • Leverage various internal resources and limited external resources outside own team to aid decision-making
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues
  • May lead small projects with low risk and resource needs
  • Explain information; cultivate skills to build consensus among team members on field topics
  • Communicate performance expectations and handle sensitive issues
  • Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline
