Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in IT systems engineering, specifically within a large-scale, complex environment. Strong experience with workflow automation tools, systems architecture, cloud-hosted services, authentication/access systems, and security practices is essential. Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and scaling highly-available and scalable IT systems infrastructure is required.

Responsibilities

As a Lead IT Systems Engineer, you will design, build, support, and scale internal systems, leveraging automation and AI to optimize IT processes at Thumbtack. You will collaborate with engineers, program managers, and leaders to execute projects, manage critical data, and implement and maintain infrastructure, systems, and integrations. You will act as the primary owner and architect for workflow automation, connecting disparate systems and automating processes. Additionally, you will manage data, security, and legal governance processes, ensuring compliance with security standards, and proactively monitor systems health, troubleshooting advanced issues, and participating in on-call rotation.
