Requirements

  • Deep passion and knowledge of global sport and athletes
  • Bachelor’s degree in writing or related field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • Creative ownership – experience working with Sr. Creative Directors, Art Directors, Marketing and Social partners to distill complex information and inspire progress through language and ideas
  • Proven creative mastery of advertising & editorial writing, with ability to deliver outstanding copy, content, and ideas on time and with high excellence
  • Strong strategic communication – high proficiency in applying verbal skills to communicate complex ideas, aligning stakeholders with clarity and impact
  • Collaboration & influence – proven expertise in building trust across cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Entrepreneurial drive – proficiency in identifying opportunities and driving innovation
  • Learning mentality – ability to build on past experience with an open mind, leaning into new subject matter and ways of working
  • Online Culture Aptitude – adept at identifying trends, knowing latest creators, athletes, and artists to connect with NikeSKIMS target audience

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sr. Creative Directors, Art Directors, Digital Designers, Narrative & Voice Directors, Social Creatives, Brand Creative Leadership, Digital & Brand Marketing Directors, Production, Operations, Media, external agencies & creators) to articulate creative concepts, craft messaging systems, and pitch platform-right content strategies
  • Focus on developing and sustaining the NikeSKIMS brand, including articulating, developing, and bringing to life its tone of voice via seasonal product campaigns in partnership with Brand Initiatives Narrative Director, NikeSKIMS Sr Creative Director, and Brand Marketing team
  • Handle wider scope of Brand Initiatives projects (e.g., Olympics, Nike x Lego, ACG, upstream Innovations)
  • Execute writing across Social platforms, owned Digital surfaces, Retail toolkits, and more, with platform in mind
  • Collaborate with creative partners and leadership to build relationships, move work forward, and develop product & consumer insights for exceptional work
  • Immerse in project subject matter, seek narrative angles through the lens of sport, and become a preeminent expert to ensure resonant knowledge shines through
  • Ground stories in athlete & product truths, exhibiting traits of a skilled interviewer
