Assigns, prioritizes and directs work performed by at least 2 FTE Engineers or 1 FTE Engineer and 1 FTE Designer
Experience with modeling and analyzing electric system elements and their protection systems using fault simulation software
Knowledge of applicable engineering design standards, safety codes and related NERC, NPCC, and ISO-NE compliance
Responsibilities
Oversees project deliverables for measurement, automation and protection relaying schemes of the transmission and distribution
Evaluates system failures and determines appropriate resolutions to support operations on unplanned maintenance
Ensures Eversource transmission and distribution systems are designed to high quality standards
Shares accountability with peers in the strategy, development, and design of the organization’s Life Cycle Plan
Reviews and evaluates proposed changes to existing electric facilities
Creates new Protection and Control system designs in accordance with Eversource Standards
Ensures accurate and timely completion of system electrical permits and customer notifications
Oversees or provides guidance in the development, calculation, and documentation of settings and logic for protective relays, logic processors, feeder reclosers, and switches
Reviews and evaluates the results of coordination studies using fault simulation software
