Responsibilities

  • Partner with and report to the Head of Communications, Aetna
  • Shape a distinctive Aetna narrative and build holistic, multi-channel communications campaigns spanning clinical, technology, provider, and broader operations teams
  • Weave an executive platform into a business narrative under one unified communications program
  • Serve as outside-in thinker, strategic partner, campaign leader, and hands-on doer
  • Manage partnership accountability to multiple leaders and advance work in a matrixed environment
  • Conduct competitive tracking, external trend spotting, transformation storytelling, modern content development across Earned, Owned, and Social channels, campaign management, and reporting
  • Achieve operational, functional, and business targets with measurable impact on progress against goals for the Aetna business
  • Lead cross-Aetna initiatives and manage integrated teams spanning communications, marketing, business enablement, and other partners
  • Think collaboratively while acting with urgency
  • Simplify complex clinical, technological, and operational content into compelling, channel-appropriate communications that resonate with key stakeholder audiences
  • Create strategies that engage internal and external stakeholders by developing Aetna enterprise-wide storytelling and amplifying stories across Owned, Earned, and Social channels
  • Lead, manage, and mentor junior colleagues, including direct reports and across the Communications function, by knowing when to work together, coach, or let go
