Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 3+ years in technical leadership roles
Strong track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams
Experience architecting and implementing developer productivity tools and platforms
Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, particularly in the context of LLMs and their applications
Proven ability to drive technical strategy and execution in cloud-native environments (preferably AWS)
Strong proficiency in Python and RESTful API development
Solid knowledge of software design patterns, system architecture, and performance optimisation
Experience with integration of multiple complex systems and APIs
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a team of engineers focused on developer experience and productivity through AI-powered tools
Set the technical vision and roadmap for our AI orchestration platform and MCP tools architecture
Drive architectural decisions focusing on scalability, maintainability, and adoption across engineering teams
Oversee the development of integration mechanisms connecting our AI platform with MCP systems while providing a unified interface
Guide the implementation of RAG systems to incorporate Coupa's institutional knowledge into AI decision-making
Establish security standards for connectors to internal documentation, systems, and data sources
Champion the development of domain-specific tools that understand Coupa's unique operational environment
Partner with senior leadership to align developer experience initiatives with broader engineering and business goals
Mentor team members, foster a culture of innovation, and contribute to engineering best practices
Measure and improve developer productivity metrics across the organization
