Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and demonstrate experience in data pipeline development utilizing data processing technologies and frameworks, along with knowledge of agile or rapid application development methods and data modeling principles. Practical experience with Public Cloud services, specifically AWS including EC2, RDS, Lambda, Athena, and Glue is required, and candidates should have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum of 5 years to be eligible for a UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will assist in the development of a secure batch/real-time data platform for a government client by coding, testing, and documenting new data pipelines, conducting database design, expanding data platform capabilities, performing data analysis to identify solutions and enhancements, ensuring data model consistency, and conducting root cause analysis to answer business questions and improve data processes.
