Requirements

Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field and at least one (1) year of full-time equivalent experience in providing community support services; OR
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field and at least two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience in providing community support services
Demonstrated competencies in supervision and substance use treatment/rehabilitation through experience

Responsibilities

Support and assist the CSS Supervisor in treatment team meetings by providing feedback, guidance, and clinical insights
Develop and assist staff in creating individualized, evolving treatment plans that follow DMH/CARF standards
Coordinate screenings and assessments and complete all required correspondence and documentation in a timely, thorough manner
Review files to ensure treatment plans reflect assessments, DAP formatting is used, documentation aligns with treatment goals, and transition planning begins at admission
Build and maintain community partnerships and represent the agency in outreach and advocacy efforts
Participate in supervisory meetings to support individualized training plans for CSS team members and provide documentation of supervisory activities
Assist in crisis situations, including follow-up actions, incident reports, and investigative steps
Help CSS team members enhance group facilitation skills through training, modeling, and feedback
Assist management in ensuring department adherence to all DMH/CARF and Agency regulations
Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new CSS staff
Perform all job duties of a Community Support Specialist as needed to support clients and program functioning
Assume CSS supervisory responsibilities during the absence of the CSS and/or Clinical Supervisor
Contribute to organizational goals and objectives through active engagement and support of agency initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory leadership or the Chief Executive Officer
