Requirements

  • 5+ years professional game development experience
  • At least 1 shipped title credited with a lead character art position
  • Experience using a dynamic PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflow
  • A strong knowledge of artist tools and workflows for character asset creation
  • Excellent communication skills and genuine desire to empower those on your team to do their best work

Responsibilities

  • Modeling, sculpting, texturing, and assembling highly creative character models that must adhere to strict technical guidelines
  • Working closely with the project art director and animation director to drive the long-term development goals and daily operations of the character art team
  • Provide constructive feedback during the design phase of character concepting to achieve the best possible results with aesthetic, performance, and rigging considerations
  • Take top level ownership of all character art pipelines and workflows within the project including those specifically associated with hero props and weapons
  • Organize, manage, and mentor internal team members and manage relationships with 3rd party external contractors
  • Ensure that all documentation for character art related workflows is organized, current, and understood by the team
