Candidates must have 3+ years of full-time software development/engineering experience, a strong understanding of Android technologies and development, and be proficient in Kotlin. They should also possess excellent audience engagement skills, be adept at Zoom classroom administration, and have experience managing shifting priorities while maintaining organization. Availability during the specified Fall Academic Term course hours (September 8th - November 19th, 2025) and instructor training sessions is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of instructional experience with a proven track record of educational excellence and a passion for teaching, especially to underrepresented groups in tech.
Lead online Android development classes for up to 500 college students, planning and delivering highly engaging, industry-relevant lessons using provided curriculum. Coordinate with the Program Manager and other instructors/teaching assistants to ensure course success and meet program KPIs. Implement course improvements based on student feedback and propose curriculum changes. Participate in pre-course training and syncs, and provide feedback to other instructors as needed. Maintain exceptional professional habits, including timely communication and lesson plan submission, in a fast-paced, part-time remote setting.
