Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Android software development. Strong experience with mobile architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles is essential, as is proficiency in Java or Kotlin. Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and testing frameworks is required.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, maintenance, and release of Scout’s Android applications, including vehicle connectivity, mapping services, and EV charging services. You will drive the technical architecture and implementation of mobile platform solutions, mentor other engineers, and contribute to the mobile technology strategy. Additionally, you will implement programming best practices, deployment processes, and monitoring for mobile platforms, while staying current with emerging technologies and advocating for their adoption.
