Keeper Security is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer (Kotlin) to join their Android team. This is a 100% remote position with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro area. Keeper's cybersecurity software is trusted by millions of people and thousands of organizations globally. The role involves expanding and architecting Keeper’s Android systems.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Keeper Dev team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding and architecting Keeper’s Android systems and test case management to deliver a high-functioning and enjoyable user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in developing Android applications
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages
  • Expertise in Android SDK and Android Studio
  • Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
  • Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and integration testing
  • Willingness to learn how to deliver work iteratively and push goals to the finish line
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on code design, quality, architecture, and debugging
  • Knowledge of securing coding standards and encryption is a plus
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate regularly with designers and project managers
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a group of team members
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Due to this role’s involvement in GovCloud, all applicants must be a “US Person”

Responsibilities

  • Develop secure and scalable solutions for Keeper's Android platforms
  • Write clean and modern code that follows best practices, being proficient in Kotlin and Java code
  • Maintain clear and detailed internal documentation
  • Demonstrate knowledge of algorithms and app performance (both speed and memory performance)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on-time
  • Review code changes made by team members and provide constructive feedback
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues as they arise
  • Research and compare similar competitor products
  • Continuously research and learn about new software technologies and methodologies
