Responsibilities

  • Define the data analytics strategy for BenchSci, overseeing the development and execution of core projects, and establishing governance for documentation and code changes
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of all analytical tools, ensuring our data stack is robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals
  • Propose and lead strategic analytical initiatives, defining key results that directly address core business challenges and contribute to company objectives
  • Establish and evangelize analysis methodologies, reporting standards, and data visualization best practices across the organization
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate high-level business questions into detailed measurement plans, KPIs, and actionable outputs
  • Oversee complex analytical tasks, including data modeling in dbt, event creation in Heap, code reviews in GitHub, data source management, and quality assurance
  • Lead the hiring and professional development of the data analyst team, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and guidance on project execution and skill development
  • Present and articulate complex insights and recommendations to executive leadership and diverse audiences with clarity and conviction
  • Strategically manage project timelines and resource allocation, balancing proactive initiatives with ad-hoc requests to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across marketing, sales, customer success, and operations to understand their strategic needs and identify opportunities to enhance our data offerings
