Requirements
Candidates must be a Native Speaker of the language they are applying to be a coordinator for, possess C1+ English proficiency, have 1-3 years of experience with subtitling and dubbing translations, quality control, or another integral part of the localization process, demonstrate a passion for their native language and culture with expert knowledge of lingo, slang, cultural references, and sensitivities, be organized and structured while adaptable to changes, be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, and possess strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
The Language Coordinator will coordinate localization efforts with studios, perform quality control of English creative assets such as videos, titles, and descriptions, act as a 'brand ambassador' for the global audience by researching and identifying opportunities, understanding the target market, and suggesting potential partnerships, create subtitles in the native language ensuring cultural accuracy and linguistic appropriateness, perform quality control on scripts, dubbed audio tracks, and mixed audio tracks, create localized metadata for regional audiences, meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects and delivering QC feedback to studios within 24 hours, communicate directly with studios regarding directions and revisions, and document all processes and maintain localization-related documentation and tools.
