- BLS certification is required as an employee
- Mandatory Reporter training certificate is required as an employee
Responsibilities
- Performing phlebotomy
- Drug and alcohol testing
- Operating and maintaining waived lab equipment
- Taking lab orders from physician’s offices
- Requesting faxed orders with diagnosis and signatures
- Notifying providers of orders that do not meet lab criteria
- Representing the laboratory by screening incoming telephone calls
- Recording and transmitting messages
- Scheduling, receiving, and announcing scheduled patients and visitors
