Responsibilities

Performing phlebotomy
Drug and alcohol testing
Operating and maintaining waived lab equipment
Taking lab orders from physician’s offices
Requesting faxed orders with diagnosis and signatures
Notifying providers of orders that do not meet lab criteria
Representing the laboratory by screening incoming telephone calls
Recording and transmitting messages
Scheduling, receiving, and announcing scheduled patients and visitors
