Requirements

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (preference for chemical sciences)
Previous work experience of analytical chemistry methods (advantageous but not essential)
Basic knowledge of general technical concepts and practices
General understanding of product or systems fundamentals in a laboratory environment
Ability to perform job in a quality system environment
Excellent attention to detail skills
Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
Ability to prioritise workload as required by supervisor
Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances or new demands
Enjoy working in a cross-functional team and ability to collaborate with colleagues in R&D, QA, and Operations

Responsibilities

Conducting HPLC analytical chemistry testing to support manufacturing
Utilising new or existing analytical test methods to determine quantity, quality, and purity of compounds
Using scientific education and/or experiences to generate results in accordance with GMP/procedural requirements and scientific principles
Interpreting data output to determine conformance with product specifications
Based upon GMP/procedural knowledge, recognising exception events and reporting to supervisor
Effectively performing a multitude of laboratory techniques in a fast-paced environment, with ability to adjust to unforeseen technical or logistical obstacles to accomplish assignments
Supporting validations of new test methods introduced into the analytical test laboratory
Understanding, implementing, and maintaining GMP with respect to laboratory records, procedures, and systems in accordance with procedural requirements
Preparing laboratory solutions, reagents, and standards as required in compliance with procedures and laboratory GMP
Completing daily checks on equipment as required, such as balances and pH meters
Conducting analytical testing of finished goods and in-process samples in a GMP environment
