Requirements

Knowledge and ability to carry out sampling of Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) requirements
Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and aseptic technique in Microbiological sampling of EMP samples (e.g., air samples, swabs, steam, water)
Work effectively with fellow technicians, demonstrating high motivation, attention to detail, and clear communication
Prioritize tasks efficiently and complete all sampling at the required frequency
Work with minimal supervision
Comply with applicable GMPs, FDA, USDA, OSHA, and Abbott regulations, policies, procedures, or guidelines
Conduct sampling aseptically and safely per procedures
Perform environmental sampling in the production environment
Complete appropriate documentation for all samples collected
Prepare tools and paperwork for sample collection
Demonstrate accountability

Responsibilities

Carry out sampling for the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) and comply with department objectives
Perform microbiological sampling of EMP samples such as air samples, swabs, steam, and water
Complete housekeeping responsibilities including waste disposal and general laboratory sanitation
Report directly to the Lab Supervisor/FLL
