Requirements
Candidates should have experience in compiled languages such as Rust (preferred), C, and Go, with experience in PHP for integration tasks, familiarity with database systems and concepts, preference for MySQL, expertise in Linux systems administration and low-level troubleshooting, experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Gitlab, and strong knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet.
Responsibilities
The Associate Software Engineer, Core Cloud Engineering will design, implement, and maintain low-level integrations with hypervisor technologies like libvirt, QEMU, and KVM to enhance platform capabilities, develop and maintain automation around Open vSwitch (OVS), BGP routing, and other networking components to streamline datacenter operations, analyze and optimize hypervisor performance across I/O, networking, and storage subsystems to meet scalability and efficiency goals, write efficient and maintainable code in Rust, C, and Go for high-performance services, build and enhance tooling for automated hypervisor provisioning, monitoring, and management, work closely with other engineering teams to align development efforts, produce high-quality technical documentation, and share knowledge with team members, helping to grow expertise in low-level systems and performance engineering.
