About Tilt
We’re building the next century of shopping—making it feel human, communal, and alive again. E-commerce has spent decades optimising for clicks, stripping away the trust, joy, and connection that once made shopping meaningful.
We’ve recently raised an $18M Series A from the world’s best investors to build the next era of commerce. Now, we’re hiring elite builders to make it happen.
Your Mission
At Tilt, QA isn’t about ticking boxes; it’s about thinking like our users, understanding the intent behind new features, spotting the issues that truly matter, and working closely with Product Owners, designers, and developers to get them fixed fast.
You’ll be more than a tester - you’ll be a knowledge hub for your area, the person the team turns to when they need to know how something really works in the wild. This is a hands-on, manual testing role focused on mobile and web, but with real scope for ownership, decision-making, and shaping our QA processes for the future. You’ll be working with live environments, testing across devices and network conditions, and using advanced tooling to uncover the bugs that truly matter.
Please note, we do not offer visa sponsorship for this role, and only candidates with full right to work will be considered.
What You’ll Do
0–3 months
- Get up to speed on Tilt’s core flows, community, and feature set (both iOS & Android).
- Write and document initial manual test scenarios in Confluence/TestRail for our most critical paths.
- Run your first full regression test cycle on a stable release, producing clear, actionable reports.
- Set a QA bug-reporting standard for the team, including reproduction steps, expected vs actual behaviour, device/OS info, and media evidence.
- Explore and document platform-specific differences between Android and iOS builds.
- Start testing the seller dashboard & seller-related features on both web and mobile for consistency.
3+ months
- Own regression coverage for your focus area (mobile or web) before every major release.
- Collaborate with POs to decide what needs fixing now vs. what can be scheduled for later, balancing quality with delivery speed.
- Prioritise bug reports so the team focuses on high-impact fixes first, keeping a complete record for future reference.
- Test across multiple devices, OS versions, and degraded network conditions.
- Maintain a backlog of known issues with clear impact notes.
- Adapt quickly to feature churn, shifting priorities, and fast delivery cycles without losing focus on quality.
- Draft a long-term automation strategy (tools, scenarios, ROI) for when the time is right.
Who You Are
- Have some experience in manual QA for mobile and/or web, ideally in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Based in a country where Tilt is live, so you can use the production app, interact with our community, and understand real user flows.
- Strong product awareness - you understand the intent of new features, can spot gaps in implementation, and think like a user.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English
- Comfortable testing across different platforms, OS versions, and screen sizes.
- Able to act as a go-to knowledge source for your area, helping others understand how the product behaves in real-world conditions.
- Proficient with:
- Network debugging tools (Wireshark, Proxyman, Charles Proxy or similar).
- Network simulation tools (macOS Network Link Conditioner or similar).
- Analytics & crash reporting platforms (Amplitude, Crashlytics, Sentry or similar).
- Basic HTTP debugging and API request validation.
- Excellent communicator for crystal-clear bug reproduction steps
- Able to balance detail with pragmatism — knowing what’s critical vs. nice-to-fix
- Collaborative, adaptable, and unafraid of repetitive test scenarios when they’re necessary.
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of French, Spanish, Italian, or Polish
- Experience with, or interest in, test automation frameworks and practices
- Familiarity with BrowserStack
