Requirements

  • 1 year of relevant commercial real estate experience (advisory, investment banking, or related)
  • Understanding of the process of originating, underwriting, and structuring commercial real estate debt and equity mandates greater than $1M
  • Ability and desire to learn the art of negotiating term sheets and closing documents for real estate financing transactions
  • Excellent due diligence, analytical, negotiating, deal structuring, and financial skills
  • Strong client management skills, excellent accuracy/attention to detail, and the ability to adjust to an ever-changing business environment
  • High level of integrity and professionalism with a hands-on, proactive style

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source new and existing clients in need of commercial real estate debt, equity, and advisory services
  • Pro-actively develop, foster, and maintain strong relationships with owners, operators, and developers of institutional-quality commercial real estate assets
  • Originate, structure, and close commercial real estate financing transactions
  • Provide advisory services to clients to obtain “trusted advisor status.”
  • Participate in presentations and pitches with new and existing clients
  • Monitor micro/macro CRE market conditions, attend CRE-related conferences, and participate in industry events to identify financing opportunities
  • Work closely with senior originator to grow the capital markets advisory platform; assist with the structuring and execution of deals brought in by investment sales agents at IPA and Marcus & Millichap
