Candidates should possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant commercial real estate experience, such as advisory, investment banking, or related areas, and demonstrate a willingness to actively market to and call on potential new client relationships. They should also have a proven track record in originating, underwriting, and structuring commercial real estate debt and equity mandates greater than $1M, along with the ability and desire to learn the art of negotiating term sheets and closing documents for real estate financing transactions. Excellent due diligence, analytical, negotiating, deal structuring, and financial skills are required.
The Junior Originator will be responsible for identifying and sourcing new and existing clients in need of commercial real estate debt, equity, and advisory services, proactively developing and maintaining strong relationships with owners, operators, and developers of commercial real estate assets. They will originate, structure, and close commercial real estate financing transactions, utilizing credit skills to identify strengths and weaknesses while creating structural features to mitigate risks. The role involves providing advisory services to clients, participating in presentations and pitches, monitoring market conditions, attending industry events, and collaborating with team members to ensure goals and objectives are met. They will also assist with the structuring and execution of deals brought in by investment sales agents and exhibit a hands-on, proactive style with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
