Requirements

Handles fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in engineering specialization for ongoing support of manufacturing processes (assembly, molding, extrusion, welding, etc.)
Works under direct supervision to execute activities
Works under general supervision to prepare and execute process validation protocols and/or machinery qualification, and participates in transfer projects, cost reduction, capacity, and continuous improvement projects
Primary point of contact with Leader/Supervisor and other engineering professionals

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, transfers/establishes optimal, productive, capable processes and establishes process control in all facets of new or existing manufacturing processes, including training production and quality personnel during process transfer or as part of continuous improvement
Participates in cost reduction, capacity, continuous improvement, and design change projects, executing activities within scope of competence, including manufacturing processes and process validation
Executes manufacturing process programs: implements statistical process control maximizing variable data analysis over attributes; follows techniques, practices, and procedures to solve projects/problems requiring analysis capability; creates and improves operating procedures for startup, operation, shutdown, etc., of machinery; supports troubleshooting of existing processes to maintain/improve part quality; participates in production process analysis, new processes/products plans, and discussions on equipment/system needs/modifications to propose equipment, systems, and fixtures; develops and supports training programs for manufacturing operations via manuals and instruction sheets; executes improvement project activities (cost reduction, continuous improvement, Kaizen, etc.) using process analysis tools (method/measurement, machinery, materials, etc.)
Executes process validation activities under supervision per assigned responsibilities, ensuring successful transfer to production areas to achieve expected performance/functionality in compliance with validation procedures
