Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support related to hardware or software, respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and implement solutions
  • 3PAR Management: Monitor health status, availability, capacity, performance alerts, replication alerts; check log files; provide reports; create CPGs, VVs (FPVV, TPVV, TDVV), Virtual Volume Sets, VLUNs; perform storage reclaim, support log collection, configuration backups; fix critical and performance issues; grow/tune/modify/delete VLUNs/VVs/CPGs; create/modify/delete Physical/Virtual Copies/Snapshots/Consistency Groups; manage Remote Copy operations; tune system; maintain CMDB; coordinate firmware/software upgrades; restore configurations
  • Storence/Library Management: Monitor health, availability, performance (CPU/memory), capacity, Service Set status, alerts; check logs; manage licenses, support tickets, shutdowns/reboots, housekeeping; schedule blackout windows; check replication; perform configuration backups; provide status/capacity reports; fix critical events; create VTL/NAS/Catalyst Stores; configure networks; manage failover/failback; implement firmware; add/modify libraries/shares/stores; restore configurations
  • Veeam: Monitor health, availability, backup job warnings/failures, services; check logs; start ad-hoc backups; install/update/revoke licenses; create/manage backup jobs (clone, disable/remove, start/stop/restart); perform health checks; collect support logs; add/remove clients; add/edit/remove repositories; perform restores (Instant VM, VM restore, files); create/manage replication jobs; manage replicas, failover/failback; incident management/vendor coordination; backup/restore to/from tape (if applicable)
  • SAN Management: Monitor health, availability, switch status; add/remove licenses; collect support logs; perform configuration backups; manage zoning; enable/disable switches/blades/ports/configurations; restore configurations; incident management/vendor coordination
