Experience with secure and compliant network architectures in Azure and AWS, deploying and managing applications and security baselines using Microsoft Intune, and provisioning/configuring Linux VMs and containers in Azure and AWS are also necessary. The role requires the ability to design, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and configure IT system implementations, including physical or virtual infrastructure components. Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior team members are essential.
The IT Systems Engineer will support and maintain the infrastructure, essential business applications, and endpoints within the federal environment. Responsibilities include performing system administration for Linux systems, architecting and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, managing identity and access controls in Microsoft Entra, and overseeing Azure Subscription governance. The engineer will manage secure network architectures in Azure and AWS, deploy and manage applications using Microsoft Intune, and provision/configure Linux VMs and containers. They will also design, implement, and troubleshoot IT systems, execute projects, evaluate new technologies, analyze existing systems for upgrades, and collaborate with internal teams on new business solutions. Providing after-hours support and assisting the service desk as an escalation point are also key duties.
