Requirements

Technically strong with an extensive cybersecurity background
At least 10+ years working in a security role, with focus on security engineering
Excellent communication skills
Ability to cultivate working relationships with teams and colleagues of varying technical ability

Willingness to work out of hours or shift work for 24x7 globally coordinated operations

Responsibilities

Manage the cybersecurity engineering team, including oversight, guidance, and leadership
Ensure team members have clear objectives/development plans and align team objectives to OKRs
Serve as escalation point for security tooling issues and critical security breaches
Handle team development, upskilling, and mentoring
Manage vendor/MSSP relationships for the group-wide organization
Manage security tooling to ensure coverage, availability, and efficacy
Drive improvements and feature enhancements to ensure ROI
Configure, tune, maintain, and operate key security controls, technologies, and risk mitigations
Own management reporting and provide monthly executive-level reporting
Drive process/procedure changes and ensure quality of ticketing and runbook maintenance
Cultivate and maintain strong vendor relationships with an attitude of continuous improvement
Be accountable for security tool health throughout the estate
Manage governance initiatives for security tooling, including product steering committees, product/vendor roadmaps, annual product reviews, and tracking feature adoption
Engage with vendors for formal QBRs, tool reviews, feature enhancements, and adoption
Create and own the overarching security tooling strategy
Conduct regular tool reviews and establish documented processes for security tool selection
Participate in CAB, Tool review, or Architecture Review Boards (ARBs)
Execute ongoing BAU tasks to meet KPIs and SLAs, and deliver security projects per priorities and deadlines
Stay current with latest security news, threats, intelligence, tactics, techniques, and vulnerabilities; research and analyze new threats
Assist/lead efforts to isolate, contain, respond to, and recover from security incidents
Identify, review, prioritize, plan, coordinate, and follow-up on vulnerability remediation
Configure, customize, tune, manage, maintain, support, and improve technical security controls
