Requirements

  • Proven track record in managing complex manufacturing systems involving automation, robotics, and advanced technologies in Bioprocess/Biopharma/Medical devices’ industry
  • Proficiency in Process Control Systems, SCADA, PLCs, and other automation technologies, with the ability to design and implement robust system integration architectures
  • A degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication with stakeholders
  • Leadership and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
  • Experience in manufacturing, energy, utilities, or similar industrial sectors
  • Hands-on experience with MES, SCADA, PLCs, and cloud-based platforms
  • Knowledge of digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 or Smart Factory
  • Previous experience in Bioprocess/Biopharma/Medical devices’ industry
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 60% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end IT-OT integration projects, from planning through execution and delivery
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Collaborate with IT, OT, engineering, operations, and cybersecurity teams
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to program management and stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment between IT systems (e.g., ERP, MES, cloud platforms) and OT systems (e.g., SCADA, PLCs, DCS)
  • Oversee data integration, network architecture, and system interoperability
  • Integrate automation systems with digital applications, ensuring seamless connectivity between production, quality control, and data management
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives across IT and OT environments
  • Ensure projects comply with industry standards (e.g., ISA-95, IEC 62443) and company policies
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for regulatory and operational purposes
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • Promote best practices in IT-OT convergence and digital innovation
