Job Description: Project Manager

Position Overview

The IT department is undergoing significant transformation with over 42 projects planned for the next three quarters, and 26 active projects that will increase due to two scheduled acquisitions. To maintain efficiency and ensure continued success amidst this growth, an additional Project Manager is strategically needed. This role will enhance the current project management structure, address the loss of an external resource, mitigate project risks, improve collaboration, and support leadership in fostering innovation.

Key Justifications for the Role:

Addressing the Loss of External Resource:

• The DealHub external Project Manager is transitioning out, creating an opportunity to bring this function in-house for greater control and stability.
• High-impact initiatives like DealHub are critical to business operations, requiring proper oversight for success.
• Currently, Tiffany dedicates over 15 hours weekly to manage DealHub, highlighting the demand for specialized project management attention.
• Adding a Project Manager will eliminate potential gaps and delays, ensuring priority initiatives remain on track.

Mitigating Project Risks:

• With over 40 active projects, a single Project Manager handling 14 major initiatives risks potential bottlenecks and capacity strains.
• A second Project Manager will enable more balanced resource allocation, helping maintain project timelines, coordination, and quality expectations.
• Proactive adjustment to the project management framework is crucial for upcoming projects to ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations.

Enhancing Collaboration and Focus:

• Project Managers specialize in driving accountability, communication, and cross-team alignment, essential for complex projects.
• While distributed project self-management is currently effective, scaling this model during growth phases may present challenges.
• An additional Project Manager will prevent key priorities from being overshadowed or misaligned, ensuring consistent leadership and oversight.
