Requirements

Doctorate in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Master's in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
3-5 years of experience in water treatment, particularly in desalination
Valued experience in the operation and supervision of demonstrative pilot plants
Experience in project management, preferably R&D projects co-funded by public entities (e.g., LIFE, Horizon of the European Commission)
High level of English (minimum C1); other languages valued
Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of water treatment process design tools (e.g., reverse osmosis projections, ultrafiltration) and experimental design/data treatment tools (e.g., Statgraphics, Minitab) valued
Driving license
Availability to travel nationally or internationally
Ability to work in a team, with initiative and motivation
Ease of performing experimental and theoretical work methodically and orderly
Critical analysis capability, with methodical and organized work focus

Responsibilities

Execution of technical activities related to the assigned European project, focusing on the development of new desalination and water treatment processes
Definition of experimental and analytical plans to address the R&D needs of the project
Supervision and support in the operation of pilot plants, treatment of advanced data, and critical analysis to extract conclusions
Experimentation and advanced data analysis within the context of the company’s R&D projects
Planning, management, and reporting for the assigned project
Preparation of reports in English and at a high technical level to achieve project deliverables for the European project obtained by the R&D Department, as well as other projects
Preparation of new R&D project proposals
