Responsibilities

Contribute to designing and building features, prototypes, proofs of concept, or benchmarks for eBay’s next-gen distributed database platform
Apply academic research and engineering principles to enhance scalability, performance, consistency, and multi-region availability
Work with global teammates from ideation through design, implementation, and testing, with potential for production readiness
Implement features using open-source and cloud-native technologies with a strong focus on automation and quality
Explore innovative approaches, share ideas, and integrate feedback to deliver impactful engineering outcomes
Strengthen system reliability by applying guidelines across the software development lifecycle
