Majoring in Electrical Engineering
Strong academic performance
Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
Availability for spring, summer, and fall semesters
Availability for multiple work terms preferred
Valid driver's license required
Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program
Military experience a plus
High School education (required)

Responsibilities

Become familiar with industry codes and best practices
Build critical thinking skills
Gain understanding of how all engineering disciplines work together
Gain knowledge of various aspects of a refinery by working with professionals
Work on more than one area of the refinery for broad understanding of plant operations
Expand written and verbal presentation skills
For Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineers: work on real-world electrical and instrumentation projects, develop project management skills (scope alignment, cost and schedule development, teamwork), support area teams
For Reliability Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineers: troubleshoot issues, analyze equipment failures, develop solutions for recurring difficulties, submit Project Request Forms (PRFs), understand equipment maintenance strategies, use electrical analysis software for coordination issues and Arc Flash studies, learn about Refinery Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
For Process Control / Technical Service Engineers: work on projects supporting process control systems, troubleshoot system power supply problems, control system programming, hardware and software lifecycle replacement projects, install and troubleshoot communication networks, monitor control system performance metrics
