Requirements

  • BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience or minimum 3 years Project Management Experience
  • Excellent business systems analysis and project management skills
  • Knowledge of the SDLC methodologies
  • Understand the Agile methodology framework and approach
  • Must possess strong documentation skills and can work with rapid change and fast pace
  • High energy and ability to work independently in very fast growth environment
  • Exceptionally collaborative, flexible and adaptable when working with customers and various teams
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well as team
  • A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to be a team player in geographically dispersed teams
  • Understand the basics of project lifecycles, both waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Follow instructions, work on tasks with minimal supervision and work collaboratively with various individuals and teams within IT and across other businesses
  • Ability to learn and understand the PMO processes

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Management Office
  • Assists in creating templates for IT projects
  • Partners closely with the PMO to create, track and report on IT project information across functional teams
  • Provide technical support to tools used by PMO solutions and processes
  • Document PMO processes and create training information for end users
  • Provide training to end users of PMO solutions and processes
  • Support Projects
  • Manage project deliverables and milestones within approved timelines and budget
  • Utilize Western Digital’s System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology to manage the development, customization, configuration, testing, and implementation of Business/IT systems
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of approved projects
  • Learn the PMO processes and provide support for maintaining project information and supporting the creation of project artifacts
  • Coordinate projects within IT
