Candidates should possess Google Cloud Platform expertise, particularly with networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, and load balancers, along with experience configuring GKE and scaling systems. Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform is required, and prior experience as a Site Reliability Engineer is expected.
As an Intermediate Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a highly scalable networking infrastructure to support GitLab’s platforms and offerings, collaborating with cross-functional teams on projects to drive GitLab’s future. You will also respond to incidents on an on-call rotation and participate in incident reviews, leading initiatives through problem definition, scoping, design, and project management, while acting as a subject matter expert in GitLab’s networking and rate limiting services and automating every operational task.
