Requirements
Candidates should possess 3+ years of accounting experience with hands-on exposure to both accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), and experience in the tech industry is considered an asset. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data modeling, are required, along with a good understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and financial analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to demonstrate teamwork skills, are also necessary.
Responsibilities
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing working papers and journal entries related to AR and AP, including AFDA provisions, bad debt write-offs, and vendor accruals. You will also perform month-end account reconciliations and analysis, develop key performance metrics and dashboards, prepare monthly variance analyses, prepare the quarterly cash payout and collection forecast, review and approve vendor invoices, and assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities. Additionally, you will support both internal and external audits and contribute to projects related to automation and process improvements, while also assisting with other AR/AP tasks as needed.
