Requirements

  • Hands-on technical SEO expertise, preferably in an in-house ecommerce environment, with experience supporting and contributing to SEO projects and experiments
  • Good understanding of how large-scale websites are crawled, rendered, and indexed (including JS frameworks)
  • Comfortable interpreting sitemaps, hreflang, canonicalisation, and structured data at scale (understanding of log file analysis is an advantage)
  • Analytical, comfortable with data tools, and able to translate results into actionable insights by building or contributing to SEO dashboards using Looker Studio, BigQuery, or similar analytics environments
  • Able to communicate technical SEO requirements to engineers and marketing counterparts
  • Some familiarity with AI search surfaces (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot) and how they influence organic visibility
  • Well versed in first-party (GSC) and third-party (Semrush, Ahrefs) tools

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sr. Technical SEO Specialist in spearheading technical SEO initiatives across a large-scale, multi-domain, multilingual ecommerce ecosystem
  • Work on SEO tests and experiments by defining hypotheses, running A/B SEO tests, communicating outcomes effectively, and consistently validating the impact of technical SEO changes on organic traffic, indexation, and user experience
  • Play an active role in advancing AI Search readiness strategy to futureproof organic visibility
  • Contribute to site audits, log file analysis, and provide recommendations to improve crawlability, performance, and rankings
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to prioritise and implement SEO fixes and improvements
  • Partner with Analytics teams to measure test results, build dashboards, and share insights with stakeholders
  • Stay ahead of evolving SEO trends, including AI-search and Google updates, and share opportunities with the business
  • Learn the basic principles of App Store Optimisation to coordinate the basic alignment of imagery from the website to Google Play and App Store
