Requirements

  • Currently studying for a degree in Physics, Mathematical Sciences, Engineering, Technology, Computing or a General Science discipline
  • Must have the right to work in the UK (unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa)
  • Able to achieve required medical and national security clearance (including HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks post-offer)
  • Practical yet creative mindset for complex problem solving and logical solutions
  • Strong networking and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Adaptability, organisation, attention to detail, and effective handling of ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning trials, conducting test activities in on-site laboratories and with off-site companies
  • Report and analyse data from real-world testing and integration of software, hardware, and missile systems
  • Gain understanding of engineering principles across mechanical, electrical, and functional domains using test equipment and lab facilities
  • Participate in ISV activities such as Ground Trials, Firing Trials, Flight Trials, Integration, In-Service Support, and Trials Equipment design
  • Learn and apply trials and systems proving methods/tools like telemetry & data handling, digital twins, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Become a fully integrated team member, assuming increasing levels of responsibility on real-world engineering projects
