Completion of a Formal Instrumentation Apprenticeship
4+ years post apprenticeship experience in control and instrumentation systems in the field
Willingness to travel across different countries
Full driving license and EU passport
Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written
Ability to read instrumentation drawings, trip panel drawings, logic diagrams and tables, PLC and DCS configuration

Respond to major plant breakdowns requiring control and instrumentation expertise: carry out prompt inspection, analyze faults, repair and re-commission affected plant and equipment to minimize production loss
Support plants with maintenance according to the Plant Maintenance program, including routine maintenance, major overhaul maintenance, and working on maintenance shutdowns
When supervising contractors and/or Air Products staff, ensure work is adequately planned and executed safely at a high level of effectiveness
Carry out plant modifications according to central design specification; submit self-generated design changes to specialist engineers for approval before implementation; for some projects, generate scope, cost, obtain Expenditure Approval and execute the work scope
Give advice and assistance to Plant Managers and their staff on maintenance matters as requested, drawing upon technical resources and expertise of specialist engineers when necessary
In association with the Maintenance Systems group, review and update the technical content of preventive maintenance procedures and recommend changes for improvements in safety, quality or economy
