The ideal candidate should have proven experience as an I&C Technician with a strong emphasis on turbine operations. In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including PLC/DCS systems, is essential. Experience with turbine performance monitoring and data analysis is required, along with a strong understanding of gas turbine principles and operation. The candidate must possess excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, and be able to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Participation in a drug and alcohol program is mandatory due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
The I&C Technician will calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and control systems associated with gas turbines. They will monitor and analyze turbine performance data to optimize operations and conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on turbine components. The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in turbine control systems, initiate corrective actions, and minimize downtime. Adherence to safety protocols related to turbine operations is crucial, and the technician will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
