Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Instructional Design with 4+ years’ experience in training and development or instructional design, or a combined minimum of 8 years’ education and relevant experience. Advanced technical writing and editing skills are required, along with the ability to author and edit content utilizing tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate. Critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis skills are also necessary, alongside skills in planning, organizing, and project management.

Responsibilities

The Instructional Designer will utilize proven instructional design methodologies to create learning solutions that meet audience learning styles, content topic area, and audience location, adhering to M&T Learning and Development quality standards. They will work with Sr. Instructional Designers, Learning Consultants, and Subject Matter Experts to conduct needs analyses and develop synchronous and asynchronous learning solutions, designing and developing text, graphics, animations, simulations, and assessment instruments. The role involves independently creating and managing development timelines, promoting diversity, ensuring writing is intelligible, and assuring all course components are published to the LMSEducation system. Additionally, the Instructional Designer will leverage various software development tools to design innovative training delivery methods and manage partner relationships, while also providing oversight of work performed by external vendors.
