Requirements

Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VM Infrastructure, Terraform, Kubernetes, and configuration management tools (Ansible or equivalent)
Experience implementing, operating, and owning infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and container orchestration
Ability to ensure security, scalability, high availability, cost optimisation, and capacity planning
Hands-on experience with operations, on-call rotation, incident response, and root-cause analysis
Knowledge of technical governance, standards definition, vulnerability management, patching, and change control
Familiarity with delivery models (Kanban for BAU, Agile for projects), Jira governance, and agile methodologies
Strong cross-team collaboration, workshop facilitation, technical design reviews, and mentoring skills
Proficiency in Linux and Windows workloads

Responsibilities

Implement, operate, and own GCP infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) and Kubernetes (GKE/container orchestration)
Manage infrastructure configuration with Ansible or equivalent, including playbooks and roles for VM and cluster configuration
Ensure security, scalability, high availability; support cloud cost optimisation and capacity planning
Participate in on-call rotation, providing tier-3/4 support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and automation of monitoring/alerting/remediation
Define, document, and enforce technical standards, "Ready for Service" criteria, vulnerability management, patching, and change control processes
Partner with cross-functional teams on delivery models, Jira governance, technical assessments, documentation, and recommendations
Act as technical point of contact, lead workshops, design reviews, operational readiness, knowledge sharing, and mentoring
Provision and manage GCP compute instances, storage, networking with Terraform; harden/patch/maintain VM images for Linux/Windows
Deploy/maintain Kubernetes clusters (GKE), configure namespaces/RBAC/ingress/service mesh, manage workloads/scaling/upgrades/patching, troubleshoot issues
Implement monitoring (Stackdriver/Prometheus/Grafana), alerting rules, logging, backups; perform root-cause analysis and create runbooks/playbooks
