Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of system and/or security engineering experience in support of U.S. Government customers subject to Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503, and hold a TS/SCI security clearance with current CI Poly authorization. An (ISC)2 Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification is required, and experience reviewing and developing RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation, such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) is also necessary.
The Information System Security Engineer will define system security requirements in coordination with security stakeholders, ensure cybersecurity requirements are implemented and monitored throughout the system life cycle, coordinate RMF processing with program and authorizing stakeholders to achieve ATOs, provide independent cybersecurity advice and guidance, develop or review system security designs and architectures, advise system engineers on vulnerability remediation, support engineering analysis of alternatives, develop cybersecurity documentation in support of the RMF process according to NIST SP 800-37 Rev 2, and work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver trustworthy and secure systems.
