Requirements

Preferred Radiology experience and/or Epic Radiant certification/experience
Developing clinical knowledge to ensure effective and optimal use of clinical applications
Understanding and working knowledge of current clinical information systems, associated workflows, and integration with other systems

Responsibilities

Provides basic support of multi-user clinical operating systems, hardware, and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance, training, and support
Supports Epic Radiology Ancillary Application (Radiant), including build and support for radiology and imaging departments (Diagnostic x-ray, CT, MRI, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, Fluoro, PET, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Radiologist and Radiological Technologist workflows, 3rd parties like RealRad, Viewpoint, Powerscribe, Volpara, in-house and mobile workflows)
Works closely with operations teams (Techs, Radiologists, Radiology Nurses)
Develops understanding and working knowledge of clinical information systems, workflows, and integrations; collaborates with users, technical staff, IT groups, and vendors to problem-solve issues
Participates in planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance, and evaluation of clinical information systems functionality
Participates in testing execution before system changes, updates, or new functionality go to production
Researches, plans, installs, configures, troubleshoots, maintains, and upgrades operating systems, application software, and hardware for assigned systems
Participates in planning new systems/processes or re-engineering, collaborating across the organization to support clinical practices, EHR development, evaluation, and ongoing support
Maintains membership or provides consultation to committees, workgroups, or task forces for design, implementation, and revision of clinical information systems
Works with project managers and teams on implementations, upgrades, and enhancements; collaborates on user requests for changes to ensure feasibility, quality, and appropriateness
Maintains support material for system implementations and maintenance (routine updates, troubleshooting, issue resolution, product enhancements)
Facilitates reporting of information from source systems using appropriate tools
Maintains up-to-date training materials or works with system educators; participates in training classes
Participates in development and maintenance of quality improvement programs for clinical information systems to support safe patient care
Contributes to financial efficiency through identification and implementation of cost-effective practices and budget management
