Requirements

  • 1 year industrial maintenance experience and/or industrial maintenance education combined
  • Applied mechanical ability documented in work history or graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
  • Ability to perform physical requirements: lift and carry 50 pounds or more, walk/stand on hard floors for 8-12 hour days, stand, stoop, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull, and move about the facility
  • Willingness to work in cold, damp to hot environments
  • Ability to read and understand assignments, drawings, and schematics of hydraulic and basic electrical systems
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Basic knowledge of math
  • Ability to use various electrical and pneumatic power tools and equipment
  • Complete all required training for the job

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Perform duties such as welding, cutting, electrical repair and troubleshooting
  • Remove and replace motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water pipes, valves, lines, and systems
