Requirements

  • Have 1 year industrial maintenance experience and/or industrial maintenance education combined
  • Willing and able to lift 70 lbs. daily
  • Willing and able to work on feet for 12 hours
  • Willing and able to work in cold, damp to hot environment
  • Willing and able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach as required
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson must have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production
  • Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery
  • Perform single phase and 3 phase electrical troubleshooting and repairs on production and plant equipment
  • Perform fabrication and welding job duties as needed
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation
  • Read manuals, diagrams, part lists, blueprints, schematics, and service manuals
  • Use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc
  • Complete all required training for the job
