Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant maintenance experience, documented in work history or resume
  • Willing and able to perform physical requirements: standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting (weight depends on area)
  • Able to work in cold, damp, hot, humid environments with slippery surfaces
  • Able to work in any area/department assigned
  • Able to work all shifts, including 6 days a week, Sundays, and some major holidays
  • Successful completion of Lockout/Tagout, Fall Arrest/Prevention training, and all Maintenance Training Levels
  • Ability to communicate well with others, comprehend training material, and complete necessary paperwork
  • Preferred experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing equipment; HVAC, motor repairs, welding, machine repair/modification; mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Perform semi-skilled and skilled tasks in maintenance, including HVAC, motor repairs, welding, machine repair and modification for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems
  • Complete necessary paperwork
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
