Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of electro-mechanical training/experience in a production/plant environment
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
  • Some PLC experience
  • Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
  • Experience reading and applying knowledge from product manuals to make repairs
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns)
  • Experience reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain efficiency of machinery and high-speed automated equipment in a continuous improvement-based environment
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment
  • Set up, install, repair, and maintain production/manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer's specifications
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments as needed
  • Perform efficient installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Perform electromechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
  • Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as needed for facilities maintenance
  • Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to supervision
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
