  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typically, 3+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role in tax analysis
  • Strong knowledge of WHT/VAT tax regulations and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Prepare periodic indirect tax returns (e.g. VAT/WHT)
  • Organise and process VAT/WHT payments and submissions
  • Support Account Payable/Billing team and resolve transactional tax-related queries
  • Assist in responding to tax authorities' inquiries
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings, and assist in system modifications to maintain compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system and process issues
  • Identify issues and propose solutions
  • Support tax team on ad hoc tax related matters such as tax audit/SDP2K request etc
  • Partner with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company
  • Gather financial data and perform financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions)
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and WHT regulations (indirect tax), including collaboration across business functions to enhance compliance, efficiency, and process improvements
