Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering (networking information, data networking) or relevant technical field
  • Knowledge of networking technologies including the OSI Model, IP addressing, network routing, Wi-Fi, and authentication
  • Networking fundamentals certification (e.g., CCNA, ARUBA, or JUNIPER) or relevant college studies in technical fields
  • English level 90% with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and great customer service skills
  • Relevant industry qualifications where applicable
  • Software and hardware knowledge of computing, storage, and peripheral devices
  • Familiarity with network circuits, switching equipment, SDWAN technology, and satellite communications (preferred)
  • Understanding of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Experience with phone handling systems such as Genesys (if applicable)
  • University student actively enrolled and typically working during school breaks

Responsibilities

  • Successfully resolve networking technical issues (hardware and software, wired and wireless) from incoming internal alerts (proactive) and external business contacts (reactive phone calls)
  • Respond to service, product, technical, and customer-relations questions on features, specifications, repairs, current and discontinued products, parts, and options based on customer entitlement
  • Use networking tools to proactively assist Network as a Service (NaaS) customers in avoiding or reducing network problems by reviewing and resolving complex business issues
  • Proactively assist internal or external businesses and end users to avoid problem occurrence
  • Understand and work within an organization modeled on the ITIL framework
  • Work accurately and drive organizational results required by customer Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Lead resolution activities with escalated customers
  • Focus on one or more product lines (e.g., proactive, reactive, storage, enterprise systems)
