Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience in Trade
  • Experience in International Trade, Customs, and Logistics
  • Experience with Annex 24 and 30 systems (Zoe, Intrade, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in I-Export
  • Knowledge of Customs Law
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations
  • Knowledge of Finance regulations
  • Knowledge of APICS
  • Advanced English proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of import/export duties that include processing papers necessary to facilitate shipments between international locations
  • Administers the efficient and economical movement of goods in accordance with organizational policies
  • Prepares, reviews, approves, and maintains files for import/export documents required for the lawful completion of import/export activities
  • Serves as an import/export liaison for international customers/subsidiaries, distribution, procurement, planning, manufacturing, intercompany finance, regulatory, and import/export compliance functions
  • Plans, schedules, and routes imports and exports, including monitoring the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations, ensuring related customer service, brokerage, and customs transaction compliance
  • Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results
  • May act as a mentor to colleagues or direct the work of other lower-level professionals
  • Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives of projects and assignments
  • Contributes to the completion of project milestones and may have some involvement in cross-functional assignments
  • Makes adjustments or recommends enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area
